Wedding Officiant-Terms and Fees

Deposits for RI Wedding Services may be in the form of a cash, check, money order, Paypal, Facebook Pay, Venmo, or invoice from Square. It must be received in our office for your date to be secured. The balance of our fee must be paid in full 5 days prior to the date of service if paying by check. Balance of our fee, if paid at the ceremony site, must be made in cash. No other forms of payments will be accepted on the day of services.

Your wedding ceremony must be paid in full prior to ceremony start time.

Your marriage license will not be signed and filed until all fees are paid.

Filing Your Marriage License:

We will handle and file your marriage license for you with the proper city or town clerk and take care of all the paperwork necessary.

Bad Weather:

In case of rain or high winds, we will gladly change to a backup location. You may also reschedule providing the new date is not reserved.

It is the couple's responsibility to have a back-up location for the wedding ceremony in case of bad weather. We will make every effort to have the ceremony at your agreed upon location. If we can wait out a storm for a short period of time, and time allows, we will. If there is a Hurricane Warning, we would be happy to reschedule the ceremony for another day.

Wedding Location:

It is the couple's responsibility to find and hold a location for their wedding. Specifically, if the wedding is to be held at a beach location, it is the couple's responsibility to hold a space open at the agreed upon area for their wedding setup and guests.

Late Start:

RI Wedding Services has agreed to provide services to you at a specified time. Your guests will also expect that the wedding starts on time. Therefore, a late fee will be charged for any wedding that does not start within 20 minutes of the specified time. Over twenty minutes late - a $20.00 fee will be charged. Any wedding that has not begun within 1 hour after the scheduled time may be cancelled with no refund, at RI Wedding Services discretion. (If we can wait, after 1 hour late start, a fee of $50.00 per hour will begin.) The late fee must be paid before the ceremony begins or we will not perform the ceremony. Often, you may not be the only people getting married that day. Quite often, we have other weddings to perform. Being late will effect everyone's schedules.

Package Mileages

Packages "total miles" is based on the distance from RI Wedding Services to your wedding location.

Photography Rights:

RI Wedding Services gives permission to the couple to use his/her likeness in any photographs, videos or other recording media for personal use only.

(However, our pictures and website content is copyrighted and are NOT to be used on any other website for profit purposes or for advertising other products or services. All photography and content on our websites are copyrighted and RI Wedding Services retains the copyrights.)

Likewise the couple gives permission to RI Wedding Services to use their (and other wedding attendants) likeness in any photographs, videos or other media for marketing purposes.

Wedding Officiant:

The wedding officiant directs your wedding and is "typically a minister,or ceremony celebrant who performs a religious or non religious service". Professional wedding officiants direct a wedding in the same manner as an orchestra or band director. We know every detail that happens during your wedding ceremony and "direct" your wedding. RI Wedding Services wedding officiant will work closely with the wedding couple, the wedding coordinator and the wedding planner.

Wedding Rehearsals:

Wedding rehearsals are charged a fee of $75.00 plus travel when necessary. This usually takes less than one hour and our officiant will walk the couple and their attendants through the ceremony until they are comfortable for the big day.

Travel Fees:

We do charge for travel from our office in Woonsocket, RI. We will determine the driving time, gas mileage and possible hotel stay to give you an accurate fee.

Rights of Refusal:

RI Wedding Services reserves the right to refuse our services. In this case see "REFUNDS" below.

Holidays (on or near):

There will be an extra surcharge on holidays (including Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve). Fees are subject to our discretion.

Contracts:

RI Wedding Services conducts business under contract for services. Please read the contract before signing and returning it to us.

REFUNDS:

Deposits are non-refundable.
